We are so happy to be together. We feel like we fit together so well and love spending time with each other. We have felt this way since we started dating over three years ago. We met in our singles ward in Maryland. KC came for a job, and Emily came to go to culinary school. Our families live only a short drive from each other in Utah, so we always think it’s ironic that we had to come all the way here to find each other.

We were friends for many months before we were a couple, and think that gave us a great foundation for our relationship. We were engaged on Christmas Day and we will never forget the feelings of excitement and happiness we felt knowing we’d be together forever. We were married a few months later in LDS Mount Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, Utah. We had many family and friends from both sides join us in our celebration. We felt overwhelmed with the love and support that they showed us that day, and continue to show us each day.

Since we got married, we have had the opportunity to explore many places together. We went cruising to Key West and Mexico for our honeymoon where we went parasailing, and relaxed while we celebrated our newly married state. We have some family in the area and we had a blast going with them to amusement parks near and far. We also went on another Disney Cruise to the Bahamas with them. We also enjoyed a great vacation with KC’s family to California last summer and loved to get away and spend time with them. When Disneyland and Newport Beach are involved, you can’t go wrong. We love beaches, historical sites, and quiet, secluded tree-filled parks where we can get away and relax, all of which are very near by. We feel like every time we go to Washington DC it is as if we’re on vacation, even though it is so close. Our future plans include trips to New York, Philadelphia, Disney World, and many others.  

We love the nights that we can just sit together on the couch and watch great movies with a bowl of ice cream. It’s become a little habit of ours and we really look forward to that time we have alone. We enjoy music in our home whether it’s singing together, KC strumming on the ukulele, playing the piano, or listening to tunes that we like. We also have a great group of friends we always play games or have dinner with. We have just settled into a charming house and love to have company anytime. KC’s always up for making another batch of homemade ice cream.

We want to mention that the inspiration for the name of this website was the hymn “I Believe in Christ.” It has really put all of what we’re going though in perspective. Particularly the 4th verse:

I believe in Christ; He stands supreme! With him I'll gain my fondest dream;
And while I strive through grief and pain, His voice is heard: "Ye shall obtain."
I believe in Christ; so come what may, With him I'll stand in that great day
When on this earth he comes again To rule among the sons of men

We love our life together. We can’t wait to see what the future brings.
